![]() ![]() There are a couple of bosses to tackle as well, and the game will certainly offer you a challenge. There are also a number of abilities to try out against a decent number of enemy types across quite a few different unique areas of the game. What is there to enjoy right now is a whole bunch of weapons to explore and play with. Dead Cells feels far from done though, but it shows a ton of promise if there’s more content to be added down the line. In concept, the combination of these two genres is absolutely incredible. Either way, these items gate your progress and you’ll need to face tough enemies to earn them. There’s an ability to instantly create a hanging vine where the game permits and another that allows you to transport between Sarcophagi. In Dead Cells, you’ll also need to find special abilities that allow you to get to places in the world that you couldn’t get to before. Where Dead Cells differs somewhat is in that the power of your character and increasing enemy difficulty isn’t the only thing that is gating your progress. The flip side of this, if you don’t make it to the Collector you’ll lose all the cells that you’ve accumulated. This collector allows you turn in your cells for items, power-ups, and other items that will help you progress further and further into the game. Killing enemies earns you cells, and these cells can be spent if you make it what is known as the collector. Doing so is where they wrangle in elements of the Dark Souls series of games. The important thing to note here is that you are making progress when you play Dead Cells, assuming that you can make it to the end of a level when you play the game. ![]() Play Dead Cells, progress, earn new weapons and power-ups and make you character more powerful to make that ever-illusive one life run to the end of the game. Many of the features of the game can be found in a lot of the games that have been released in recent years in those genres. It also doesn’t hurt that they’ve got a appealing art style in place going old school with pixel art.ĭead Cells in its current form fits the bill of what they’re calling the game in a “Roguevania.” One the one hand you have the elements and permadeath of the rogue-like. It shows off some of these aspects while also displaying that they’ve got nice core gameplay mechanics in the fast-paced 2d-combat that takes a riff from the ‘Souls series of games. Dead Cells from Motion Twin is something a little different it combines the two genres into what they’re calling a “Roguevania.” In its current form Dead Cells has a lot of promise. It seems like every month another developer is putting their spin on one of these genres, while staying constrained by a typical set of rules. So get ready to blast off in a rocket fuelled Starfield performance preview.Over the last few years there has been a renaissance in the indie game development community in a couple of very specific genres: Roguelike and Metroidvania. We also compare the improvements over the previous showing, enhancements within the engine, and much more. The biggest question after the show(s) was: why is it 30fps on Xbox Series X and Series S and not 60fps? In this IGN Performance preview, we dive into the details shared by the team, the revealed PC minimum and recommended specifications, and how the Creation Engine 2 works, comparing the previous games to gauge some of the potential reasons why the team might have chosen 30fps. With Starfield being the center of the Xbox 2023 Showcase last week, Bethesda gave us a deep dive into one of the biggest games this generation. Defeating that enemy will unlock the Teleportation Rune. Heading down there will lead to an Elite enemy. He will inform The Prisoner to retrieve his rune by jumping down the nearby gap. Interacting with them will reveal an NPC. At some point on the journey through the sewers, a set of prison bars can be seen. The Teleportation Rune can be accessed from this area. The Sewers are home to Zombies, Scorpions, Disgusting Worms, and Undead Archers. The Toxic Sewers have some enemies from the Prisoners' Quarters, as well as some new annoying enemies. This is done by ground-pounding the floor when there is a brown rune present. The path will naturally lead to the Ramparts however, upon obtaining the Ram rune from the Ossuary, the Ancient Sewers can be accessed. The green liquid here acts as a trap and will damage The Prisoner over time if he stays in it for long enough. You can climb the brown pipes in the background, although it does not look possible. The toxic sewers are a little confusing as they are full of both vertical and horizontal passageways. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() If you decide to bank via Beefy Bill, you can use the tannery that is south of Varrock's west bank. Although it may take more time to tan the hides, the Al Kharid bank is near the Al Kharid tanner and so it is relatively easy to tan hides. A player can also create soft leather which can be tanned for free resulting in a profit of 125. To make more money, a player may tan their hides into hard leather and sell it for 123 coins more than a cowhide. It also grants combat experience, making it an activity worthy of a new player's time and effort. Killing cows can often be beneficial for low-level free players as the cowhides and raw beef obtained can be sold for a decent profit. I expected to be slow at first but i feel like this gap is ridiculous. Guides on the wiki and youtube claim it is possible to do 60k hides an hour on RS3, but I am capping out around 24k an hour or so. Of course I was drawn in by the low skill requirement, but high profit. On the downside, cows are more scattered compared to Lumbridge's cow field. Secret to tanning hides Just started tanning dragonhide recently. The best place for Free-to-play players to kill cows for cowhides is the field northwest of Lumbridge because players may deposit their cowhides and raw beef they obtained with Beefy Bill, who charges a 10% commission. The Tower of Life quest must be done before Creature Creation can be accessed. Cowhides are also used in Creature Creation to create Unicows. Soft and hard leathers can then be crafted into various pieces of equipment through the Crafting skill. Run further north to the Bank Gnome, bank the leather, run back to the cow pen, and repeat. ![]() Tanners can be found in Al Kharid, the Ranging Guild, Varrock, Taverley, Canifis and the Crafting Guild. Once you have 28 cowhides, run slightly north to Jack Oval, who will tan them into hard leather for 3 coins each. If it is brought to a tanner, it can be turned into soft leather for free or hard leather for 3 coins. Cowhides are dropped by cows when they are killed. ![]() ![]() You can dive deep into path setting in pyenv's README if you would like to learn more. ![]() If you use Bash, change ~/.zshrc to ~/.bashrc. zshrc file only manages zsh instances, so be sure to check what your shell is and edit the associated dotfiles. If you need to double-check what your default shell is, you can run echo $SHELL. Note that I used single quotes with echo so it does not evaluate and expand the commands. Now every time we run a command in zsh, it will use the pyenv version of Python. ![]() Append that same syntax to the ~/.zshrc file: $ echo 'PATH=$(pyenv root)/shims:$PATH' > ~/.zshrc Since zsh is officially macOS's default shell, I'll focus on it. That export statement (PATH=) will only change for this shell instance, so make it a permanent change, you need to add it to your dotfiles. Now, if you check the version of Python, you'll see it is the one managed by pyenv: $ which python To set up pyenv correctly, you can run the following in Bash or zsh: $ PATH=$(pyenv root)/shims:$PATH If you don't change the path, here is the result: $ which python You must ensure the shell will find the version of Python run by pyenv, not the one installed by default (which is often called the system version). PATH determines where the shell searches for files by the name of the command. In order to use the version of Python through pyenv, it's essential to understand the shell's PATH variable. I could clone and compile it myself from source, but I prefer to manage packages like this through the Homebrew package manager: $ brew install pyenv Thankfully, pyenv exists to work around this series of complexities. I would happily talk about why I still think it should.) Installing and setting up pyenv (A note on the above: I know this makes no sense to seasoned Python developer, but it made sense to me at the time. Specifying the version of Python I intend to use every time I run the interpreter (python3.7 or python3.5 for example) seems error-prone at best. Recently, I tried to run a project on macOS that depended on Python 3.5.9, a version that I did not have installed on my system. That makes it important for me to regularly get those updates. A detailed timeline of the events that preceded the investigation into Russia’s attempts to influence the 2016 US presidential election shows that the claims made by Turley are unfounded. In an attempt to counter the report, Turley incorrectly claims that the dossier was the origin of the Russia probe rather than based on credible intelligence sources, and that the Clinton campaign invented the conspiracy theory linking Trump to Russia. The claims made by Turley have been popular in right-wing circles, but have been refuted by the recent report of special counsel John Durham.
